The latest ClipCube version: update

Is ClipCube still developed?
I've seen that the owner doesn't answer any more on this forum.

I still use ClipCube a lot.
Sometimes I use the old version (1.2), sometimes the new.

What I like in the old version is:
- the semplicity
- the possibility to make the window very small
- the stay on top button

What I prefer in the new version is:
- the paste mode button
- the possibility to keep clips (scratchpad)
- the possibility to remove all clips/clipboard notes with one click
(in stead of delete all --> ok)
- keep a max. nr of clips/notes

What I would like to change or add in the new version:
- the possibility to resize the windows much smaller then now
(specially the width.. making the toolbar icons smaller)
This is my biggest reason why I often go back to the old version
(I often put the whole right side behind the right desktop screen border in order
to make the window smaller)
- Less spaces between the different clip names (between the different lines)
- the stay on top toggle button
- the possibility to resize the sidebar
- disable all confirmation dialogues.
don't like these "remove 1 note?" messages
- indicate a max nr. of clipboard notes lower then 100
- possibility to change fontsizes and colours (I prefer
the old version colours (black text, white background)
- info about the hotkeys
- the possibility to avoid clipping only for the next clipboard action
(p.e. if you want to copy passwords and you don't want to keep the info in clipcube)

Hope there will be news from the owner. :)

Sorry about being tight-lipped, I would like to elaborate a bit more and go through your suggestions. Many of the things you noticed are either already addressed or on the TODO.

- it will be possible to set the window to smaller size
- there is going to be a toggle for row height of note list (a la Gmail)
- an easily accessible Stay on Top toggle is added
- the sidebar is actually resizable in the current version (both 1.2.1 and dev), it is also persistent. can you try if it works for you?
- 'confirm note deletion' is in the settings of released version, but it (and other confirmations) will be replaced with popping up undo button, past the action
- there will be saner options for max clip setting
- fonts and colors will be settable. also, there is going to be a Light (default) and Dark theme
- discoverability improvements are high on the list, including hotkey hints
- skip next clip only -- thanks, this will be implemented

Also I want to make it clear that although the next dev version is a rewrite, it is a clear logical progression of the current dev version, so the integrated paste mode / button will be there, etc.

I was not satisfied with the previous implementation in that it limited the interface capabilities which I would like to bring to the current age, while also keeping the package lightweight. I spent much time experimenting and came up with a solution that allows this kind of expansion.

Thanks for your patience! More info (and an actual release) will follow.

Thank you for your reply.

I checked the resizability of version 1.2.1 and dev.
It is resizable till the size it is touching the toolbar icons
but the window is still much too large i.m.o.

I'm curious to see the next release :)

The version I use most is the first one (1.1 ?)
the little small window with the small toolbar icons.
(your first release of clipcube I believe)

Any news on the revamped version?

I am a regular user, I quite like the app and I could really use some of these improvements. :)

The new version lately acquired custom, hardware-accelerated drawing of the interface, this took longer than planned.
There are a few issues to be worked out until release, but I think the result will be worth the wait.

Kind regards,
